A Visit To The Krepp Hoerters

What you get when a bunch of railroad enthusiasts get their hands on some old stuff but never get around to fixing it up. Big pile of junk sitting around a building in an industrial area of Fort Pierce.

Restoration seems to involve paint, more than anything else. Paint and a big brush. They've gotten their hands on an old fire truck. And it's getting the red treatment to make it presentable. There are worse hobbies. Many and by far.

The scale of how much junk is parked on a siding, and how shabby it is, comes off better from the other side. But that's the late in the day side for good light. Which is also the heat of the day. So I haven't quite made it there on my bike to take some pics. But I will. Maybe by then the rail cars will have been fixed up.
